World Day of Social Justice

On 20^th February 2026, World Day of Social Justice is being observed, focusing on addressing poverty, exclusion, gender inequality and unemployment.

• The day was designated by the United Nations in 2007 to promote fairness, human rights and social protection for all.
• In India, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with a National Law University, is organising a special programme to mark the occasion.
