49th Annual Day of NIHFW

On 9th March 2026, the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW)celebrated its 49th Annual Day in New Delhi.

• NIHFW is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
• The institute focuses on public health training, research and capacity building.
• NIHFW Director Dr. Sunil Vilasrao Gitte presented the institute’s annual report.
• The report highlighted achievements in public health training and research collaborations.
• Annual publications “Dharna”, the HPPI Journal and Placement Cell Brochure were released.
• Awards were presented to outstanding employees, students and sports achievers.
• The Minister emphasised strengthening public health institutions in India.
