CWG 2030 Engagement Initiatives

In May 2026, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), in collaboration with MYBharat, launched three nationwide initiatives ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030 proposed to be hosted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
- The initiatives aim to promote youth participation, creativity and public engagement under the campaign theme “#CWG2030InBharat”.
- The three programmes include the Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest, the CWG Reel Challenge and the Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz.
- The Torch Design Contest invites participants to design a torch reflecting India’s cultural heritage, sustainability, innovation and sporting excellence.
- The contest will run from May 11 to May 20, 2026, and winners will receive Fit India hampers and recognition certificates.
- The CWG Reel Challenge encourages participants to create short reels showcasing India’s sporting culture, fitness movement and support for the 2030 Games bid.
- The Reel Challenge began on May 7 and will continue till May 16, 2026, with the top five creators receiving Fit India hampers.
- The Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz contains 10 multiple-choice questions on India’s sporting achievements and Commonwealth Games history.
- The quiz will remain open from May 9 to September 26, 2026, with five winners selected every week and participation certificates awarded to eligible participants.
- According to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the initiatives are aimed at generating nationwide enthusiasm for the Commonwealth Games 2030 while promoting fitness, creativity and national pride among youth.
