State Cabinet Approves 7th Pay Commission Implementation

On 18th May 2026, the West Bengal Cabinet approved implementation of the 7th Pay Commission for state government employees.

The Cabinet also approved implementation of the Annapurna Bhandar scheme, which provides monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 to eligible women beneficiaries.
Women already receiving benefits under the earlier Lakshmir Bhandar scheme will be automatically linked to the new Annapurna Bhandar programme.
The state government announced that new beneficiaries would soon be able to apply through a dedicated online portal.
