‘Metro Monday’

On 18th May 2026, the Delhi Government launched the ‘Metro Monday’ initiative under the ‘Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan’ campaign to promote sustainable urban mobility and fuel conservation.

• As part of the initiative, the Chief Minister, Cabinet ministers and senior officials travelled by Delhi Metro and DTC buses while commuting to offices.
• The Chief Minister described the campaign as a public movement encouraging responsible lifestyles, fuel conservation and greater use of public transport.
