Exercise KHAAN QUEST 2026

On 18th June 2026, an Indian Army contingent departed for Mongolia to participate in Exercise KHAAN QUEST 2026.

• The multinational joint military exercise will be held from 20 June to 3 July 2026 at the Five Hills Training Area in Ulaanbaatar.
• The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and cooperation among participating armed forces in United Nations peace support operations under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.
• The exercise started as a bilateral event between the US and Mongolian defence forces in 2003. From 2006 onwards, it became a multilateral peacekeeping exercise, with the latest one being its 23rd iteration.
