Nirbhay Chetna Training Module Launched

From 17th to 19th June 2026, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj organised a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Nirbhay Chetna in New Delhi and launched the Nirbhay Chetna training module under the Nirbhaya Fund project.

  • Nirbhay Chetna is a national initiative aimed at sensitising men on women-related issues, including women’s safety, security, dignity, and gender equality, to promote gender-responsive governance at the grassroots level.
  • The programme was conducted under the Nirbhay Raho initiative, launched on 11th March 2026, with support from the Nirbhaya Fund.
  • The initiative aims to develop a network of 28,500 Master Trainers at the State, district, and block levels to train over 17 lakh male elected Panchayat representatives across the country.
