Anurag Jain Appointed CEO of NITI Aayog

On 22nd July 2026, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) appointed senior IAS officer Anurag Jain as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog.

Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the CEO of NITI Aayog.
He will serve for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in accordance with the approved terms.
Anurag Jain has held several important positions in both the Central and State Governments during his administrative career.
