'Aayakar Sindhu' Income Tax Office Complex in Mumbai

On 26th July 2026, Union Finance Minister inaugurated the new Income Tax Department office complex, 'Aayakar Sindhu', at Nariman Point, Mumbai.

• The new office complex, 'Aayakar Sindhu', will serve as an important administrative centre for the Income Tax Department.
• Addressing officials, the Finance Minister said that the nation's treasury is built through the taxes paid by every taxpayer, reflecting the significance of voluntary tax compliance.
• She urged officers of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) to reduce procedural hurdles faced by citizens while ensuring compliance with the law.
