Pralhad Joshi

On 26th July 2026, Pralhad Joshi assumed charge as the Union Minister for Education, in addition to his existing portfolios of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy.

• He succeeded Dharmendra Pradhan, whose resignation from the Union Council of Ministers was accepted by the President under Article 75(2) of the Constitution of India, on the advice of the Prime Minister.
• Soon after taking charge, Pralhad Joshi chaired a review meeting of the Ministry of Education to assess the implementation of various schemes and initiatives.
