'Digital Square' Initiative for Primary Schools

On 26 July 2026, Kerala launched 'Digital Square', a technology-driven initiative to integrate digital learning into primary school classrooms and strengthen digital literacy among young students.

The initiative has been launched by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), the technology wing of the General Education Department.
It forms part of the Kerala Government's 100-day action plan for the education sector.
The programme was inaugurated by General Education Minister N. Samsudheen during a statewide orientation workshop in Malappuram.
More than 4,000 headmasters and headmistresses from schools across all 14 districts participated through an interactive video conference.
