France and Spain Battle Massive Wildfires

Currently, France and Spain are battling massive wildfires that have triggered large-scale evacuations, as prolonged heatwaves and drought intensified fire conditions across parts of Europe.

In France, wildfires spread towards the outskirts of Bordeaux, a historic city in the country's famous wine-producing region.
Fires severely affected the Cap Ferret Peninsula on the Atlantic coast and surrounding areas near Bordeaux.
In Spain, over 75,000 people were evacuated, while another 30,000 people were advised to shelter in place.
The wildfire in Ávila Province burned over 50,000 hectares, making it the largest wildfire in Spain's recent history.
