BRICS ICT Working Group Meeting

On 17th August 2026, the in-person meetings of the BRICS Track on Cooperation in Information and Communication Technologies opened at Pune under India’s BRICS Chairship, with the commencement of the 7th Meeting of the BRICS Working Group for Cooperation in ICTs.

  • The meeting was held under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
  • The ICT Track follows the theme “Innovate, Cooperate and Transform (ICT) for a Resilient Future.”
  • Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, next-generation communication networks and Industry 4.0 internet applications.
  • The meeting also addressed electromagnetic field exposure and emerging ICT technologies.
  • The Council of the BRICS Institute of Future Networks reviewed activities of its national branches and Study Groups.
