CIC Launches Upgraded AppCoMS 2.0 Portal

On 17th August 2026, the Central Information Commission (CIC) launched AppCoMS 2.0 to streamline digital processing of RTI appeals and complaints.

• AppCoMS 2.0 is the upgraded Appeal and Complaint Management System of the CIC.
• The portal facilitates online filing and end-to-end digital processing of Second Appeals and Complaints under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
• Applicants can create user accounts linked to their email IDs and mobile numbers.
• Applicants can view case timelines, access documents, and download hearing notices and decisions or orders.
• The upgraded system enables Digital Signature Certificates for digitally signing and issuing notices and orders.
