Exercise MAITREE-XV 2026

On 17th August 2026, the Indian Army contingent departed for Thailand to participate in the Exercise MAITREE-XV.

• Exercise MAITREE-XV (15th edition) will be conducted from 18th to 31st August 2026 in Thailand.
• The exercise aims to strengthen military cooperation and interoperability between India and Thailand.
• Training will focus on joint counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations in jungle and semi-urban environments.
• The exercise will be conducted under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
• Training activities will include field exercises, combat discussions, lectures, demonstrations and a culminating validation exercise.
