North East Zone Shooting Championship

On 30th August 2026, the 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship concluded in Guwahati, Assam.

Sikkim shooters performed strongly in the event.
Laxuman Adhikari won a bronze medal in Master Men’s 10m Air Pistol.
It was the first-ever North East Zonal-level medal won by a Sikkim shooter.
Anu Chettri qualified for the 69th National Shooting Championship 2026 in 10m air pistol.
Tshering Yangden Bhutia qualified for the 69th National Shooting Championship 2026 in 10m air rifle.
The Sikkim Rifle Association contingent comprised eight pistol shooters and three rifle shooters.
