C-DOT Unveils 14 Indigenous Quantum Products

In August 2026, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) unveiled 14 indigenous quantum products in the fields of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) during its 43rd Foundation Day celebrations in New Delhi.

Key Points

Q-AKSHAY CD and Q-AKSHAY MD: Fibre-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems designed for secure quantum key generation and distribution; Q-AKSHAY MD employs a Measurement Device Independent protocol.
C-SPD and C-RD: These are a Single-Photon Detector and a Wideband Radio Frequency (RF) Driver, respectively, which serve as critical components of quantum communication systems.
Q-SETU, Q-MAHASETU and Q-AMOGH: Quantum-secure encryptors supporting speeds ranging from 80 Mbps to 200 Gbps across different network layers.
Q-VIKRAM and Q-PARAKRAM: Defence-grade quantum-secure encryptors providing security at speeds of up to 1 Gbps for sensitive and strategic communications.
Q-DARSHAN, Q-VACHAN and Q-RAQSHAK: Solutions designed for secure video/IP communication, upgrading existing IP phones with quantum security, and securing enterprise networks, respectively.
Q-VAAYU and Q-VAJRA1000: Solutions developed to secure wireless links and integrate quantum-secure protection into existing Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) and wireless networks.
These products aim to strengthen India’s telecommunications, enterprise, strategic and defence communication networks against future threats posed by quantum computing.
