Green Schools League

On 1st September 2026, Mizoram launched the statewide ‘Mizoram Green Schools League’ to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

  • The competition is jointly organised by UD&PA and the School Education Department.
  • It is being conducted under the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0.
  • Schools will compete at block, district and state levels.
  • The initiative aims to develop lasting habits of hygiene among schoolchildren.
  • It encourages students to keep their schools, homes and communities clean.
  • Teachers and school staff have been urged to lead by example.
