On 2nd September 2026, the Delhi Cabinet approved the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill, 2026.

• The proposed Bill aims to simplify approvals, registrations, licences and business clearances.
• It proposes a single-window portal for various business-related approvals and NOCs.
• Businesses can access building, fire, water, drainage and electricity approvals through the system.
• The Bill proposes a transparent, time-bound and technology-driven approval framework.
• No routine inspections will be conducted for three years after enterprise registration.
• Inspections may still occur following serious complaints against an enterprise.
• Low-risk businesses will be allowed to use self-declaration mechanisms.
