Rs. 200 Crore Support for Agnibaan Reusable Launch Vehicle

On September 25, 2026, the Technology Development Board (TDB) signed an agreement to provide financial assistance of Rs. 200 crore for the development of Agnikul Cosmos's Agnibaan Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV).
Key Facts
- Agnibaan RLV: The project aims to take the technology from TRL-4 or above to TRL-8 to develop a launch vehicle with an emphasis on full-system reusability.
- Rs. 200 Crore Financial Assistance: The amount will be disbursed via Optionally Convertible Debentures (OCD) under the Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Fund.
- Key Technologies: Work will focus on key technologies such as semi-cryogenic liquid propulsion, reusable upper stages, and controlled descent and recovery.
