6th BIMSTEC Summit 2025

The 6th BIMSTEC Summit was held on April 4, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. The summit was held under the theme “Prosperous, Resilient, and Open BIMSTEC” to promote regional cooperation among Bay of Bengal nations.

Key Outcomes of the Summit

  • The summit concluded with the adoption of the Bangkok Declaration and the official launch of the BIMSTEC Vision 2030, the first long-term roadmap for the group.
  • Members finalized the Rules of Procedure and endorsed the Eminent Persons Group Report on reforms.
  • Key agreements signed included the BIMSTEC Maritime Transport Cooperation Agreement and MoUs with the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and the ....
