India’s engagement with the Group of Seven (G7) has grown strategically over the past few years, even though it is not a formal member. In recent summits, India has used its platform to advocate for Global South issues, climate finance, digital public infrastructure, and equitable global governance. The G7 sees India as a critical partner in shaping a rules-based international order.
