World Happiness Report 2025

The World Happiness Report 2025 was released in March 2025 by the Wellbeing Research Centre, University of Oxford, in collaboration with Gallup, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and an independent editorial board.

The report aims to promote global policy focus on well-being beyond GDP.

Happiness Indicators

  • Happiness is measured via ladder scale (0–10) using six indicators:
    1. GDP per capita,
    2. social support,
    3. healthy life expectancy,
    4. freedom,
    5. generosity, and
    6. corruption perception.

Key Findings

  • Finland ranked as the happiest country for the eighth consecutive year, followed by Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden.
