India - Israel

India and Israel are strategic partners with warm and forward-looking bilateral ties. India recognized Israel on 17 September 1950 and established full diplomatic relations in 1992. The two countries celebrated the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2022–23. These ties are rooted in a civilizational connection dating back two millennia.

During the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict, India has pursued a balanced diplomatic approach. While prioritizing strategic, defence, agricultural, and technological cooperation with Israel, India also maintains a cautious stance to ensure regional stability. The aim is to strengthen cooperation with Israel while preserving balance in India’s broader West Asia policy.
