This ranking evaluates 853 universities across 35 countries.

The Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings methodology evaluates universities based on five key areas:

Teaching,
Research Environment,
Research Quality,
International Outlook, and
Industry Engagement.

These areas are assessed using 18 carefully calibrated performance indicators.

Global Rankings

The top five Asian universities in 2025 are:

Tsinghua University (China) – Score: 93.0
Peking University (China) – Score: 92.9
National University of Singapore – Score: 91.3
Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) – Score: 85.4
University of Tokyo (Japan) – Score: 84.8
