Young Scientists Induction Training Programme Launched

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (Office of PSA) to the Government of India, inaugurated the Young Scientists Induction Training Programme on January 29, 2024, at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-V).

• This unique training initiative aims to enhance the skills of young scientists and science administrators, providing them with tools to manage S&T programs, projects, products, and teams.

• Inauguration and Purpose: The training program was launched at IIM-V to cultivate the capabilities of young scientists and science administrators.
• It focuses on honing skills in managing S&T initiatives, fostering idea exchange, offering practical exposure to cutting-edge research and technology, and improving functional, behavioral, and domain skills.
• Skill Building: Designed as a hybrid module by IIM-V, it combines online and on-campus activities, covering strategy and policy skills, system skills, soft skills, and societal relevance skills.
• Expert Involvement and iGOT Platform: The training modules will be uploaded on the iGOT platform for wider accessibility across the government.
• Participants and Training Structure: The first cohort includes over 55 young scientists from various departments and organizations.
• Training: Training involves expert interactions, lab visits, collaborative exercises, and more, spread across four modules.
