Navneet Sehgal

On 16th March, retired bureaucrat Navneet Sehgal was appointed as Chairperson of Prasar Bharati for a three-year term by the Government of India.

The post had been vacant since February 2020 after the completion of A. Surya Prakash's tenure.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar chaired the selection panel, with the Press Council of India chairperson and a nominee of the President completing the three-member panel.
The Prasar Bharati Chairman's tenure is for three years or until the age of 70.
