National Young Chef Competition

On 16th July 2025, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, launched the National Young Chef Competition (NYCC) to spotlight and nurture emerging culinary talent across India.
- The curtain-raiser event was held at PHD House, New Delhi, marking the beginning of a nationwide talent hunt aimed at final-year hospitality students.
- The competition, themed ‘Celebrating Indian Culinary Heritage: Blending Tradition with Innovation’, aims to fuse traditional cooking techniques with modern culinary styles.
- Organised in partnership with the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), the event will have four zonal rounds before the national finale.
