ADEETIE Scheme to Boost Industrial Energy Efficiency

On 15th July 2025, Union Government launched the ADEETIE scheme in Panipat. The scheme aims to help MSMEs adopt energy-efficient technologies and reduce carbon emissions.

- Scheme Overview: ADEETIE (Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries & Establishments) is a Rs. 1000 crore scheme implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
- Financial Support: Offers 5% interest subvention for Micro & Small Enterprises and 3% for Medium Enterprises to make energy efficiency (EE) projects more affordable.
- Technical Support: Includes Investment Grade Energy Audits, Detailed Project Reports, and Monitoring & Verification after implementation.
- Initial Coverage: Targets 14 energy-intensive sectors and 60 industrial clusters across India.
- Expected Impact: Aims to help MSMEs reduce energy consumption by 30–50%, improve power-to-product ratios, and reduce carbon emissions.
- Investment Mobilisation: The scheme is expected to attract Rs. 9000 crore in total investments, including Rs. 6750 crore from MSMEs.
- ADEETIE Portal: A dedicated portal (adeetie.beeindia.gov.in) has been launched to streamline applications and financing.
