Technical Committee on Telangana-Andhra Water Issues

On 16th July 2025, the Centre announced the formation of a high-level technical committee to address inter-state water disputes, particularly the Polavaram Banakacherla Link Project (PBLP), between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

- Board Relocation: The Krishna River Management Board will be relocated to Vijayawada or Amaravati for better administrative coordination.
- Collaborative Approach: The committee’s work will emphasize cooperation between the states to address concerns through transparent and scientific assessment.
