India, Kuwait Hold Seventh Foreign Office Consultations

On 26th August 2025, India and Kuwait held the seventh round of Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi, reviewing bilateral relations and discussing ways to deepen their strategic partnership across key sectors.

  • Both sides conducted a comprehensive review of their ties, covering political relations, trade and investment, defence cooperation, energy security, cultural engagement, and people-to-people exchanges.
  • Regional and international developments of mutual concern were discussed, with both delegations affirming the importance of working together on shared strategic priorities.
  • The two sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of the roadmap outlined during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Kuwait in December 2024, when the relationship was elevated to a Strategic Partnership.
