NHAI Launches Project Aarohan for Toll Plaza Families

On 26th August 2025, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced the launch of Project Aarohan, an educational support initiative for children of toll plaza employees, aimed at removing financial barriers and promoting equal access to quality education.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways stated that the project is designed to uplift students from economically weaker sections of toll plaza employees’ families by providing structured financial assistance.
Under the scheme, 500 students from Class 11 up to the final year of graduation will be awarded annual scholarships of Rs. 12,000 each during FY 2025–26 to support their educational journey.
In addition, 50 meritorious students aspiring for postgraduate or higher studies will be eligible for scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 each, aimed at encouraging academic excellence and advanced learning.
