NeGD Integrates 1,938 e-Services Nationwide

On 31st August 2025, the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), announced the successful Pan-India integration of nearly two thousand e-Government services on the DigiLocker and e-District platforms, marking a major milestone under the Digital India initiative.

  • With this integration, citizens across all 36 states and union territories can now access certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments, and other essential services seamlessly from anywhere, ensuring both convenience and transparency.
  • A total of 1,938 services has been brought onto the platforms, expanding the reach and impact of digital governance in India.
  • Maharashtra leads the country by offering 254 services, the highest number available to citizens in any state.
  • Other top-performing regions include Delhi with 123 services, Karnataka with 113, Assam with 102, and Uttar Pradesh with 86, reflecting strong adoption across diverse geographies.
  • The achievement is seen as a critical step in reducing paperwork, cutting delays, and bringing efficiency to citizen-centric service delivery.
  • NeGD has further announced plans to expand the portfolio by leveraging emerging technologies and adopting an AI-driven approach to improve scale, personalization, and service quality.
