Government to Launch Adi Vaani Beta Version

On 30th August 2025, the Government of India announced the upcoming launch of the Beta Version of Adi Vaani, the country’s first AI-powered translator for tribal languages, developed under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
- Adi Vaani is designed to serve as a transformative tool for bridging communication gaps between tribal and non-tribal communities across India.
- The translator has been developed as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh initiative, which aims to celebrate, preserve, and empower tribal heritage.
- By leveraging advanced AI technologies, Adi Vaani seeks to protect endangered tribal languages and promote cultural continuity.
- The initiative aligns with India’s constitutional values of unity in diversity, reaffirming commitment to inclusivity in national development.
- The Ministry of Tribal Affairs emphasized that the tool will aid linguistic preservation, cultural promotion, and tribal empowerment at the grassroots level.
