Government to Launch Adi Vaani Beta Version

On 30th August 2025, the Government of India announced the upcoming launch of the Beta Version of Adi Vaani, the country’s first AI-powered translator for tribal languages, developed under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Adi Vaani is designed to serve as a transformative tool for bridging communication gaps between tribal and non-tribal communities across India.
The translator has been developed as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh initiative, which aims to celebrate, preserve, and empower tribal heritage.
By leveraging advanced AI technologies, Adi Vaani seeks to protect endangered tribal languages and promote cultural continuity.
The initiative aligns with India’s constitutional values of unity in diversity, reaffirming commitment to inclusivity in national development.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs emphasized that the tool will aid linguistic preservation, cultural promotion, and tribal empowerment at the grassroots level.
