India Showcases Handicrafts at INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025

On 9th September 2025, India launched its pavilion at INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025, the kingdom’s premier interiors trade show being held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre from September 9–11.

The launch was accompanied by an interactive session titled ‘India – The Ideal Destination for Handicrafts Sourcing’, where Ambassador Khan delivered the keynote address highlighting India’s handicrafts sector as one of the largest in the world, sustaining the livelihoods of over seven million artisans, a majority of whom are women from rural communities.
India’s participation at INDEX 2025 holds special relevance as Saudi Arabia has declared 2025 the Year of Handicrafts, making this showcase an important cultural and commercial milestone in Indo-Saudi economic engagement.
