Ayush Ministry’s SPARK Program for Ayurveda Students

On 10th October, 2025, the Ministry of Ayush announced the fourth edition of its flagship Studentship Program for Ayurveda Research Ken (SPARK) to foster scientific curiosity and research skills among undergraduate Ayurveda students nationwide.

• The SPARK program will provide a studentship of ₹50,000 each to 300 Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) students enrolled in colleges recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
• The registration window for interested students will open on October 15, 2025, and remain open until November 15, 2025, allowing eligible candidates to apply online.
• The Ministry of Ayush emphasized that the program is designed to ignite scientific curiosity and research aptitude among young Ayurveda students by offering practical exposure to research practices.
• Since its inception, SPARK has benefitted 591 students from 289 Ayurveda educational institutions across India, providing them with early experience in scientific investigation.
