NITI Aayog Releases Roadmap for AI-Driven Job Creation

On 10th October 2025, NITI Aayog released a landmark report, titled “Roadmap for Job Creation in the AI Economy,” aimed at preparing India’s workforce for the evolving AI-driven economy.

AI Economy Outlook: The report analyses how Artificial Intelligence is transforming India’s technology and services landscape, focusing on work, worker, and workforce dynamics.
Job Creation Potential: While AI may cause some job displacement by 2031, up to 4 million new AI-enabled jobs could be created in the next five years through a coordinated national approach.
National AI Talent Mission: NITI Aayog proposes launching a flagship, mission-mode initiative to position India as the global hub for AI talent and workforce development.
Three Strategic Pillars: The roadmap rests on AI Literacy and Education Reform, a National Reskilling Engine for technology and customer experience professionals, and positioning India as a Global AI Talent Magnet.
