India-Oman 14th Strategic Consultative Group Meeting

On 4th December 2025, India and Oman held the 14th round of the India-Oman Strategic Consultative Group meeting in Muscat.

Comprehensive Strategic Review: The meeting undertook a detailed review of the multifaceted India-Oman strategic partnership across political, defence, security, economic, and cultural sectors.
Economic & Commercial Relations: Both sides noted that bilateral trade reached USD 10.61 billion in FY 2024-25, highlighting expanding investments and the strong commercial pillar of the partnership.
Energy, Agriculture & Education Cooperation: The discussions included collaboration in energy security, agricultural frameworks, and educational exchanges to deepen sectoral engagement.
Cultural and People-to-People Linkages: India and Oman reaffirmed the importance of cultural cooperation and community engagement as vital elements enhancing mutual understanding.
Indian Community in Oman: Oman hosts a vibrant Indian diaspora of approximately 675,000 people, serving as a living bridge and major contributor to bilateral relations.
Regional & Global Discussions: The delegations exchanged views on key regional and international issues of mutual concern, strengthening diplomatic coordination.
