Kerala Gets First Gen-Z Post Office Counter

On 7th December 2025, India Post inaugurated Kerala’s first Gen-Z Post Office extension counter at CMS College, Kottayam, introducing a youth-centric, co-created postal service model designed specifically for student engagement.

• Conceptualised “of the students, by the students, for the students,” the facility was co-created by CMS College students in collaboration with India Post to reflect a creative, modern and student-friendly approach.
• The centre’s interiors feature nature-inspired elements such as a vertical garden, picnic-style seating and refurbished tyre seating, reinforcing sustainability and eco-conscious design practices.
• The centre houses a fully functional MPCM booking counter with packaging materials and a MyStamp printer, ensuring that essential postal services remain easily accessible within the campus.
