MSDE-World Economic Forum MoU on Skills and TVET

On 22nd January 2026, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to collaborate on strengthening India’s skills and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem.
- Under the agreement, MSDE and WEF will launch a Skills Accelerator in India, a multistakeholder platform to identify, scale and accelerate innovative solutions and public-private partnerships to address critical workforce skill gaps.
- The Skills Accelerator will align skilling initiatives with evolving industry needs and global labour-market demands.
- Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said the initiative marks a key milestone in building a future-ready, globally competitive workforce aligned with NEP 2020 and Vision India@2047.
