SAMPANN Pension Portal

On 21st January 2026, the SAMPANN pension management system developed by the Office of the Controller General of Communication Accounts was integrated with the UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) platform to provide easy digital access to pension-related services.

  • The integration enables around 4 lakh pensioners of the Department of Telecommunications to check their Pension Payment Order (PPO) number and Life Certificate (LC) validity status through the UMANG mobile application and web portal.
  • The initiative aims to enhance ease of access, transparency and seamless delivery of pension-related information through a unified digital platform.
  • The services on UMANG are complemented by DigiLocker integration, reinforcing prompt and transparent service delivery to pensioners.
  • UMANG serves as a single unified platform to access government services offered by Central, State and Local bodies anytime and anywhere under the Digital India initiative.
  • SAMPANN is a flagship digital pension administration platform that has digitised the entire pension lifecycle, from processing and e-PPO issuance to disbursement, grievance redressal and financial reporting.
