On 4th February 2026, the five-day Goa Book Festival 2026 commenced at the D.B. Bandodkar Ground in Panaji, inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
- The Chief Minister toured the festival stalls after the inauguration and interacted with authors and publishers.
- Over 200 publishers are participating, showcasing books in English, Konkani, Marathi, and Hindi.
- Major attractions include an art exhibition by Mario de Miranda and a special gallery commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
- The festival features workshops for children and musical programmes to promote literary and cultural engagement.
- The fair will remain open until 8th February, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a flat 10% discount on all books.
