On 9th February 2026, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) signed MoUs with the Goa State Pharmacy Council (GSPC), Quality Council of India (QCI), and HLL Infra Tech Services Limited (HITES) to enhance medicine safety, quality assurance and capacity building nationwide.

  • The agreements aim to strengthen pharmacovigilance systems, promote rational use of medicines, improve pharmacists’ competencies and enhance healthcare quality and patient safety.
  • Under the MoU with GSPC, IPC will focus on improving adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India and promoting the National Formulary of India among pharmacists.
  • The collaboration will support training programmes, workshops and continuing professional education to enhance drug safety awareness and pharmacopoeial standards.
