5 NFR Stations Get ‘Eat Right Station’ Certification

On 23rd February 2026, five railway stations under the Northeast Frontier Railway were awarded the prestigious ‘Eat Right Station’ certification by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- The certified stations include Dimapur Railway Station, Alipurduar Railway Station, Kokrajhar Railway Station, Golakganj Railway Station and New Mal Junction Railway Station.
- Dimapur Railway Station received certification valid from October 24, 2025, to October 23, 2027, after a comprehensive audit of food stalls, catering units and food handlers.
- The audit assessed compliance with food safety standards, hygienic preparation, safe storage practices, proper waste management and availability of nutritious food options.
- The ‘Eat Right Station’ initiative is part of FSSAI’s nationwide movement under the Eat Right India campaign to promote safe, healthy and sustainable food practices.
