Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR

On 24th February 2026, the 16th edition of India-U.S. joint special forces exercise VAJRA PRAHAR commenced at Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh.

• The exercise is being conducted from 24 February to 16 March 2026.
• The previous edition was held in Idaho, USA, in November 2024.
• The Indian Army is represented by 45 Special Forces personnel.
• The United States contingent includes 12 Green Berets.
• The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and jointness.
• It focuses on joint Special Forces operations in mountainous terrain.
• Training includes physical conditioning and joint mission planning.
• The exercise strengthens combined operational capabilities.
• It reinforces the growing defence partnership between India and the United States.
