J&K Win First-Ever Ranji Trophy Title

On 28th February 2026, the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team won their maiden Ranji Trophy title.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team, calling the victory a reflection of grit, discipline and passion.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also lauded the team, describing the win as a proud moment for the youth of the region.
J&K defeated eight-time champions Karnataka cricket team in the final at Hubballi.
