MP Cabinet Clears ₹18,000 Cr Development Push

On 13th April 2026, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, approved projects worth over ₹18,000 crore to boost agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, and women’s welfare.

  • ₹286.26 crore approved for the Midwas Medium Irrigation Project in Sagar district, benefiting 7,200 hectares across 27 villages.
  • ₹2,250 crore sanctioned under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM) to promote modern farming and support rural youth.
  • ₹240.42 crore allocated for women’s safety schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, One Stop Centres, and Women Helpline-181.
  • Eight new One Stop Centres approved across multiple districts to strengthen support systems for women.
  • ₹3,553.35 crore sanctioned for rural development programmes, including Poshan Shakti and Mid-Day Meal schemes.
  • ₹1,005 crore approved for continued healthcare services under the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department till 2031.
  • ₹1,674 crore cleared (with central support) for setting up new medical colleges over five years.
  • ₹10,801 crore allocated for Public Works Department projects to enhance infrastructure.
