  • 07 May 2026

On 6th May 2026, Union Health Minister launched the Swasth Bharat Portal during the 10th National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity.

  • The portal aims to integrate fragmented digital health systems through an API-based federated architecture.
  • Swasth Bharat Portal serves as a one-stop platform for multiple national health programmes, reducing repetitive data entry and multiple logins.
  • The portal is ABDM-compliant and supports integration with ABHA for secure exchange of patient health records.
  • It seeks to improve interoperability by integrating programme systems, health registries, and digital health infrastructure.
  • The platform is expected to reduce infrastructure load by 20-30 per cent and repetitive data entry by 20-40 per cent.
  • The portal will support ASHAs, ANMs, CHOs, and Medical Officers through simplified reporting and data visualisation tools.
  • Swasth Bharat Portal aims to strengthen evidence-based planning, faster decision-making, and data-driven governance in India’s public health system.
