Centre Launches Swasth Bharat Portal

On 6th May 2026, Union Health Minister launched the Swasth Bharat Portal during the 10th National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity.

The portal aims to integrate fragmented digital health systems through an API-based federated architecture.
Swasth Bharat Portal serves as a one-stop platform for multiple national health programmes, reducing repetitive data entry and multiple logins.
The portal is ABDM-compliant and supports integration with ABHA for secure exchange of patient health records.
It seeks to improve interoperability by integrating programme systems, health registries, and digital health infrastructure.
The platform is expected to reduce infrastructure load by 20-30 per cent and repetitive data entry by 20-40 per cent.
The portal will support ASHAs, ANMs, CHOs, and Medical Officers through simplified reporting and data visualisation tools.
Swasth Bharat Portal aims to strengthen evidence-based planning, faster decision-making, and data-driven governance in India’s public health system.
