Ahmedabad–Dholera Semi High-Speed Rail Project

On 13th May 2026, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)–Dholera semi high-speed double-line railway project.

    • Estimated cost: ₹20,667 crore.
    • Corridor length: 134 km.

    • First semi high-speed rail project of Indian Railways.
    • Based on indigenously developed technology under Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

      • Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).
      • Upcoming Dholera Airport.
