On 18th May 2026, VD Satheesan was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Kerala, marking the return of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) to power after a decade.

• A 20-member Council of Ministers was sworn in alongside Satheesan.
• It marked the first time in nearly six decades that the entire Kerala Cabinet took oath together on the same day.
• The Cabinet also includes representation from alliance partners such as the Indian Union Muslim League and Kerala Congress factions.
